CaDF Principles
(Updated: January 2007)
With the new year, a new era
is amongst us. I would like CaDF to return to some old school ARC
roots. This article has been written for all CaDF members to read
and follow. Also for anyone that has some interest in CaDF as a
potential home.
Think of CaDF as a
place of business. Everyone should display a professional and
mature attitude. It is important that drama is kept to a minimum and
preferably non-existent! Our ideal view is to have a clan function
with a less talk more play atmosphere. Friendships and bonds will
always still exist and grow over time and we have to stick with each
other through thick and thin.
We are all equal and should respect
each other. Everyone should be committed and contributing to the
clan. There shall be no more spoon-feeding, you should be
responsible enough to deal with matters yourself. Most of our
players have lives and just like to compete here and there. People
interested in CaDF should fall in a similar category.
CaDF mainly only
participates in the APL. Decisions may be made otherwise dependant
on the frequency of APL. People who are interested in CaDF must
realize this. We also do not want to hear complaints about playing
time during leagues. Lineups will be determined and used based on
many factors such as chemistry, practice, etc. If you are chosen
to play, then play. If not, do not get upset and do not cause and
spread internal problems! Everyone should just try to play their
best and always keep positive.
The CaDFer should be
strong headed. Things are not always going to go the way you
expect or want them to. Many people will gun for you. Many
clans will play their toughest against you. There will always be
community and peer pressure. It is you that must rise out of the
ashes! Always keep a strong mind, never get discouraged or
frustrated- no matter what happens! This is a game. Everyone
has a voice and opinions will be heard but keep unnecessary arguments
out! Understand that its a team game. How do you get better if you
cant handle some stress? We have to be on the same page! People cant PMS
and throw hissy fits every time something goes wrong. Never lose
your cool. Its like a professional sport, we have to bounce back.
The ideal candidate
will be a stable minded person who is interested in high competition.
A person that can handle the highs and the lows of clan life without
causing any internal stress to themselves and the clan itself. A
person that does not require babysitting. A person that does not
require high maintenance and does not seek a lot of attention. A
person that is not overly egotistical, easy-going, conflict-free and
understands that running a clan successfully is tough work.
Your role as a CaDF
member is simply to play ARC, practice and develop yourself over time
and have fun without inducing drama!
